For us here in Oz, to get a 2007R for less than $10k is unheard of.
It is also very hard to import bikes from anywhere, so the ad doesn't look good.
No harm in calling the guy though, minime.

It's a "make offer" auction though--$10k is just the listing price, they seller doesn't have to accept an offer for it at that price.

Jose is right. Its a real pain in the ass to get anything imported into Aussie.

Yes, it was a definite scam. No way known that guy could have imported a 2007 model into Oz much less get it registered. If you looked closely at the photos you could see that the bike had a US number plate. Two other give aways were that the set price was about 1/3 of what other similar bikes were advertised for on bikesales.com.au and that the only payment option was direct deposit to a bank account. Obviously didn't want cash as he would have had to meet the buyer (and produce the bike) to get that.

a few of them out there trying it on sellers as well as buyers.seems to be worse lately,although typically they have little or no feedback. hj
