High reving on the Choke

Hi, would anyone know why my 750F4 will rev it's nut's of if i put the choke on full ? half way is is just about right, is this normal behaviour for one of these angary Italians

It's not a choke, it merely a fast-idle throttle advance.

All it does it rotate your throttle tube slightly; Your throttle cable tension is too tight.

If your 750 "choke" is the same as the F4 it's not a choke but rather it holds the throttle open more for warming up. So if you open the lever all the way all you're doing is opening the throttle and yeah it'll wind up pretty good.
