This is the same point I made last week in the IOM bad weather thread after I saw the special on TV about the IOM TT. I used to be impressed with Stoner and Rossi and all those motopg guys. Not any more. After seeing the TV coverage of IOM, I'm no longer impressed. Let me see Stoner be competitive at the IOM; then I'll be impressed. That IOM is some sick racing! Those guys have major balls! The average speed this year by the winner was 131mph! That's insane!

+1
Although i am still impressed with Rossi (and sometimes Stoner..) as they are at the elite level of racing. The absolute control and awareness they have of their bike and surrounds impresses me. But I had never seen IOM TT racing before.... That was off the hook!!! completely balls to the wall sort of racing!!! I keep going back to watch the video posted.
Those guys have no fear....or are on the outer limits of insane.
Is this what Ade gets up to in his spare time??

Actually if you all want just check out the Duke Videos USA site and check out their selection of Road Racing DVDs and IOM TT race DVDs. I am actually about to order 3 discs from them. One for the Northwest 2009 and IOM TT 2009 and there was one other that escapes me at the moment. A bit pricey but worth it! Especially in bluray!

how about burning me a few of them to "bootleg" out of my trunk?

I'll stop by to pick them up when you are finished!

If at first you don't succeed, use a hammer instead

What the difference is (for me):
Moto GP: I´m impressed of the speed - that´s great and most impressive to watch.
RoadRacing: I´m impressed of the risk those guys take... but I don´t like it (I like the racing, but I do not like taking risk and risking lives).

Red cheers
Manuel

Cool

Someone (forgot who) once told me there's an important difference between bravery and stupidity, and I believed him.

But what do I know? Watching the onboard camera youtube vids of roadracing, and there are a lot of them (just get familiar with the names of the races like NW 200, Mid-Antrim, etc etc), usually has me both riveted and cringing at the screen.
