New here with a few questions..

Hey all, just joined the site to get some info and ask a couple odd questions. I am not new to riding, but new to the world of MV. I have had kawasaki 6r/10r mostly. Last year sold the zx10 to fund my 1198s. As much as I love the Duc, I still miss having an inline 4. So, of course, I started eyeballing the new BMW s100rr. Good price for the monster HP and all the gadgetry it comes with, but i can't get over the asymetrical design that is weird. I started thinking what I4 could compete with the beauty of the Ducati I have now and cam across the f4. Now I am totally stoked on getting one. Trouble is I live in wasilla Alaska (No sarah palin comments plz...lol). Yes, I do ride bikes up here. Season is short, but when it's on there is no better place. Anway, being up here I cannot for the life of me find a MV f4 to buy. Only thing I can think of is trying to find one from the lower 48 and having it shipped. So if anyone knows any leads let me know!

Second question: how are these bikes as far as reliablilty? can't be any worse than a duc I imagine...lol.

Third: Any shot at seeing the 2010 models in the US? I heard MV as a company is kind of in limbo at the moment? To tell the truth I am more looking for a good deal on a used one, but would consider a new one as well.

Sorry about the long winded email, I appreciate any replies!

Here's a pic of my only bike right now, she's lonely

If I don't find an F4 I'm afraid a full akra exhaust is on the to buy list.

Welcome aboard.

I won't hijack your thread but there are plenty of people here who think what Mrs. Palin has accomplished is remarkable and won't be making jokes about her.

There are plenty of bikes here in the lower 48. I would suggest ebay, craigslist, and cycle trader. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

ALL of the forum members are great people. If you find one you like, let us know. It should be easy to have one of the members ride over and take a look at it for you.

Maintenance is not hard. They are quite easy to work on. There are a few niggling problems, but they have all been well documented here and parts are not too hard to find.

The F4 is so vastly superior to the Duc as far as problems go that it isn't even funny. I have a 1098S and Tambo and the MV will run circles around the Duc. Get one man.

Damn, Alaska, and I complain about 2-3 months of cold and snow here.

Buy an F4, it's a magnificent machine in all aspects. 2010 F4 will be available in US probably in June, check the F4 section of forum.

you should be able to get a good price on a 07 F4. They are usually well taken care of and I you look in the for sale ads in this forum you may find one. Welcome and you won't regret getting one.
