City Moto, Belgium

Posted this on the Benelli forum, thought people might like to read it......

Just wanted to give a massive shout out to Gurt at Citi Moto. He comes in for some unfair criticism on various groups and Internet forums.
me and a few like minded souls were touring Belgium last weekend (2 MVs and a Benelli Tornado) when one of our number picked up a nail in their back tyre on Sunday afternoon. We did a temp repair with a plug but were restricted to 50 kmh and it being a Sunday nowhere was open to get a proper fix. It being Belgium, no bike shops were open on Monday either.
After mulling over the situation over a couple of beers the options were wait till Tuesday, when we were due back at work, leave the bike and come back in a van or leave it in the hands of a euro breakdown company.
We messaged Gurt via Facebook thinking wed hear nothing, but within 30 minutes hed been in contact, said hed open his shop on his day off and fix the tyre for us. Absolute legend

We rode the 35kms to his shop and he was as good as his word. Even made us coffee

I also treated my (still unregistered) Benelli Tnt to some nice Official bling at a knock down price to make up for the lack of a V5

Gurt mentioned that Benelli Tnt and Tornado and older MV stuff is getting really hard to source these days and in a couple of years it will be a real struggle, so if you order stuff dont be surprised if you have to wait a while. Its best to ring him first and have a chat. He speaks our lingo, which is a bonus.

Got some nice stock in his shop too. Couple of Benelli R160s, Cafe racer etc and some truly stunning MVs.

If ever youre in the neighbourhood, do yourself a fa favour and drop in

It's nice to hear something positive about dealers for a change.
