I think ad would've been much more in line if the bike were actually a naked bike.

Naaaahh.....now that I think of it, Pamela won't cut it.

In part 1 we should do something involving a gay couple, between a Chinese/African mixed man from Papua New Guinea and an albino from Magadascar. In addition to a transgender couple of Aussie aboriginals.

Part 2 will be about a Muslim lesbian couple ripping it in Rome and Mugello, while in full ninja...sorry, Avant-garde Burkas.

Some inspiration below:

I shared this with a few mates who aren't really into bikes, with the caption "looks like I'm buying another MV"

One of the responses was "now we are waiting for the video of you with the F4"

I totally see where you're coming from Rob, it is a bit cringey. My feeling is MV wanted to send a clear "up yours" to the PC brigade.

The bike is a brilliant product which was likely to hit a market niche and contribute to MV's image.

And now hundreds of potential buyers will stay away in disgust from this shabby company that has shown its real face of being a ruthless corporation run by dinosaur minded men that still consider women as objects...The poor lady has been forced to undress in a cold garage (evidenced by goose bumps on the skin) and to climb on a bike with running engine (evidenced by the running light) without protective gear. It is a shame. I always supected that M.V. Agusta stands for "Misogynist Villains"...

Honestly, this ad does not show anything that crosses the line...it is naked model posing on a bike, nothing more! But I already read an article in a motorcycle (!) mag that mentioned the #metoo movement in the context of this advertisment.

MV has issued a teaser which no PC brainwashed manufacturer would have dared to do for advertising their product. And it does not go without irony that this thread and all the fuzz in this forum got started by a disappointed marketing expert who has thereby contributed the most to the distribution of the ad. In Germany we have a saying that the worm needs to be to the taste of the fish and not to the taste of the fisherman. The typical, likely expert approved advertisement for something like the SV800 would be some slow close ups and filming of the bike being parked at some fancy location along with some heroic melody. Something that has been seen thousands of times before and which is worth nothing at all in terms of the ad's purpose.

For today's hypocritical internet generation that is thirsting for the next big incorrectness to complain about, it was just too tempting to try making a scandal out of it...and thereby stepping in the "trap" that has been placed by MV.

With the greatest respect, surely you are not serious?

I am confident that no potential buyer would dilute their interest in this bike solely because of the advertisement. As a buyer, we are focused on the emotional high of the acquisition, not the means that the product (in this particular case) was brought to our attention.

The poor lady? Forced to undress? Again, you can't be serious. A brief was more than likely sent to an agency 'inviting' participants/models to accept or decline a contract. The terms of the brief would have been made crystal clear at the point of acceptance. For the model, this is her chosen career. Why should we, or anyone, criticise that?

Woops. I did read on, but just didn't see the sarcasm - and I am a master of sarcasm.

Rather than delete I'll just leave it with apologies to @flexnow36.

And here is vivid proof for @anothermvfanatic that this ad gets people talking!!

Absolutely no apologies needed, Nigel.

After following with a degree of consternation how this whole hype evolved over a tiny bike advertisment spot , I may have been carried away with a too realistic portrait of what I was actually trying to criticize
