Quick Shifter

Hi Guy's..
I'm still getting my head around my F3 800 RC..

My understanding is that the quick shifter only operates in Sports mode...

Question ?
In sports mode what Rev / speed will the quick shifter operate

And

Can I use manual operation or quick shifter whilst in sports mode, if the shifter is mapped on

Thx

I did not think the F3 800 only quick shifts in sports mode. I do not have the RC but it works in any mode on my 2014 F3 800. You do have to have it on in the menu options however.

It will operate at most speeds but works better when used at high rpm and with throttle in aggressive acceleration. The F3 is meant to be ridden aggressively. Ride it hard and fast. Also, use very deliberate force at the shifter. If you are wearing sport riding boots this comes naturally. If you are wearing casual gear then there tends to be less force used which ends up in missed gears or 'false neutrals'. I suggest using the clutch if riding casually and if not wearing riding boots. It takes less effort at the shifter when you operate the clutch.

Quickshifter can be enabled in the menu and works in all 4 modes when enabled.
What I believe you're trying to tell us, is that if auto-blipper is on the F3 800rc. And that all depends on the modelyear.
One way to find out is when you're at the dealer or seller, to ask them to roll through the menu and enable/disable the auto blipper. If its in the menu and is enabled it indeed only works in sport mode.

*Using quickshifter while riding I recommend to always use manual shift from 1st to 2nd gear and from then on you can use quickshifter all you want.
Also if quickshifter and/or autoblipper is enabled you can always use manual shift if desired.
And as mentioned before; dont be soft on the shifter lever. Use some force.

It operates in all modes.

It operates above a certain speed, think it is 60km/h , though it could be less.

You can operate the shifter manually by using the clutch, even if the quick shifter is switched on.
