Low beam with motor off

Hi Guys,

I wanted to know, if there is a possibility, to get the same feature which my Brutale has, also on my F4:
On my Brutale 910S (year 2006), the low beam only turns on, when the engine runs. Without running engine, there is only the parking light turned on.
On my F4 1000S (year 2005), the low beam is even without running engine turned on. This is bad for the battery – imo.

So, is there a possibility, to get the same functionality of my Brutale also for the F4.

I know, newer F4s have this feature, but is it possible, to get this also for my “older” F4

Thanks.

Red cheers
Manuel

can't you get a light switch? Costs a couple hundred dollars I believe. But then you can do whatever you want!

(my F4 has the light switch, my Brutale doesn't, and shows same behavior as what yours does....)

Yes, a light switch would be one possibility.
But I want that feature, because it keeps me away from forgetting to turn the light on (it´s mandatory here in Germany and more important a savety issue) and also does not stress the batery...

You are right. The "R" does this, as my Brutale 910S. But my F4 1000S not...

I think you'd have to yank apart the headlight assembly and switch around some wires.

I'll see if I can find a diagram somewhere...

Time is a delusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

From the looks of it, you'd lose the low beam function if you did it my neanderthal way of yank, plug and finger crossing.
