F4 312 Rr

Just got off the phone with Pro Italia & Ferracci, the 312 RR release date has been pushed back to next year!!! I guess the 312 R is looking more attractive all the time.

Perhaps they dont have the funds for a new bike or are just clearing out the older 312R before unleashing the 1078?

I believe she is the Devil in a candy wrapper.

Yes, very interesting indeed. Wonder if this means:

1) They don't have the funds to produce;
2) There's too much F4R inventory in the States
3) The 312RR may be a final edition to be released with the new design in 2009
4) The 312RR will push back the new design by another year. 2009 for 312RR and 2010 for the new design.
5) Waiting for the new owners to sign the contract and take over.

I think #2, as Europe seems to have plenty...

Also, it could just be that SOME dealers won't get them till 2009, due to limited supply.

I just remembered something. Around March I asked Pro Italia when their 1078s were coming in and they said late April but Jake told me "each dealer was only getting one or two 1078s and so take the number of U.S. dealers and that's about 100 1078s".

So, I suppose if they don't bring the 1078 here, that's a loss of about 100 units. Maybe they figure it's not worth it given the costs, number of bikes, and the exchange rate?
