Warning: [SYDNEY] Do not use ALTOs @ Chatswood

Had the most terrible experience at Altos in Chatswood and not wanting anyone to experience the same thing as myself.....

Long story short, I took my bike there for a service and to fix the rough running it has had of late......
After a broken blinker, flat battery, 10 days without my bike, poor communication and non-fixing of the rough running I rang to complain. I was told I would get a phone call back in 15 minutes to be told what they would do for me to fix the situation.....Still waiting for the phone call 5 days later...

THEY ARE TOTALLY SH&T....

So know can anyone recommend a good MV Agusta Mechanic in Sydney taking into account Altos are Shit, Central Coast motorcycles are worse, Casoli closed down and Stoney Creek just went up in flames a week ago.......???

I still love my MV but there's no quality mechanics or tuners for them here in Sydney...!!!

Hi WheelieBIN,

Sorry to here about you’re bad experience with ALTO. I bought my Brutale off them and all was fine. They even delivered it to my door FOC in Canberra.

I have been using AXLE motorcycles here in Canberra. Nice guy and good service.

Dave.

Hi Wheeliebin
Give Motorcycle Weaponry in Mona Vale a go. They specialise in Ducs and Aprilia mostly but from memory they had some hand in Brendan Clarke's ASC bike at some stage...

I've used Alto's for car parts for several years with success, however I hate to say it, Alto's MV in Chatswood don't reflect their four wheeled departments are very poor at returning phone calls or doing anything for that matter. To date I've chased them since March for parts, out of frustration I called Stoney Creek and was put on hold while a call was made to QLD and I then picked up the part a couple of days later on Tuesday from Stoney Creek. What do you mean they burnt down, they looked fine at 17:30 on 27May08.

Personally I do my own work - if you're really stuck I might be able to help out

Andrew...

Hey wahts up with Stoney Creek? I am ringing those guys tomorrow to get my recovered stolen bike fixed?

Also yes, try Motorcycle Weaponry at Mona Vale. The owner (Steve Cutting) raced an MV and won the National Bears title on one, he is right up on these and all Italians.

I had a bad experience with Alto when I was thinking of upgrading, not good.

Mate , read my thread titled "where the hell is my wally?" in Brutale section. Alto chatwood are really REALLY bad. I received ten calls before the sale on my bike was made.... and not a single call since...for anything!! Ive had to call them every time my bike didn't turn up on time...(still havent got it) had to call them about the insurance, the new plate and each time i've had to leave two of three messages before hearing from anyone. ALTO CHATSWOOD SYDNEY ARE PATHETIC.

Sounds very similiar to the situation here on the West Coast.

A new dealer was recently appointed....but no technician to work on the bikes.
