Martin Finnegan - MV Racer - Pics, Interviews, and Articles

Dear all,
Following the tragic news concerning Martin Finnegan who was tragically killed during the 600 race last Saturday at Tandragee in Northern Island. I suggested in the racing forum that we put something together where we can contribute with pics and articles, links, whatever in recognition of the respect we have for this great road racer. One of his highlights has to be qualifying second on his MV for last years TT Supersport race, going on to finish fourth. I followed his practices, qualifying and race religiously on Radio and TV when broadcast. I think I still have the race on my Skybox.

Anyway, to start this off I have added some links below, and would be grateful if any of his supporters out there could upload any quality material, be it video, pics, stories, snippets etc in memory of Martin, which I am sure the forum members will enjoy.
Thanks in advance.
Tont

Just a thought but is there anyway to help the Mother and Daughter? They might be in need of some help, financially...

I believe she is the Devil in a candy wrapper.

I heard about this on Sunday morning and it is no doubt a great tradegy and loss to the family members, fellow competitors and the road racing community.

However, this is an extremely dangerous business. If you look at the You Tube on board clips of the Irish road racing and the NW200/IOM TT, such events are truly a madness in themselves and fatalities are a regular ocurrence. Some of the clips are too scary to watch all the way through and you struggle with the bravery/stupidity argument.

Only when a big name is involved does it realy hit home and the big question is asked, was it worth it?

If there is a fund for the family, perhaps someone could post up the details.
