Thumbs down £1.50 per litre fuel by September

They are forcasting that fuel prices over here will reach £1.50 per litre of fuel by September this year

Thats $11.23 a gallon equivelent

Unbelievable

and to think most in the U.K. actually think its the fault of the oil companies not our U.K. nanny state government

our government are actually taxing oil companies out of the North sea now, no further exploration and a lot of discoveries aint even getting produced due to high taxation.

to all in the usa, stay clear of the U.K. unless you want to be totally ripped off, this place is going downhill rapidly

So many here are selling up and moving/relocating, its like rats deserting a sinking ship

Ouch

I thought A$1.68 that I paid today was steep.

How much is diesel? I remember paying $.70 for diesel. Later, it was always cheaper then gas (petrol) now gasoline is $3.50/gallon here and diesel is $4.50.

What is disturbing about this, more disturbing than the price of gasoline, is that even if you take public transportation or ride a bike instead of drive a car, everything you own got to you by truck and trucks run on diesel. This in turn will drive up the prices of EVERYTHING.

Good thing I'm long GSG.

What I like is we are getting charged for full gas but actually get 10% ethanol

same here...what s up with this crap...are tractors the new bling must have item?
diesel powers the world economy from sea/land transport to agriculture. etc .traditionally diesel was cheaper than gasoline..now it s almost as expensive as high octane gasoline..i say the hell with it just convert big container ships to run on high octane gasoline and add a couple of NOS bottles in the mix...at least make them quick

maybe they are just forcing the hand of automakers on a higher run of desiel production vehicles??
i mean, europe is filled with the option, what if it were the only option world wide like gas is??
i mean, what is taking so long for the 'desiel hybrid' car??
am i the only one who sees logic in that??
i would love for someone to get on the ball for a hybrid bike
when tech. allows we could sub most of the gas weight for hybrid tec. then we would get a more consistant bike through the race, pushing forward suspension develpment, tire develpoment and so on.
I gave up the thought the aluminati is trying to rob/control us and have just thought that the powers that be (possibly under pressure) are indirectly stimulating green development by prodding the only thing manufactures listen to.... the consumers

personal veiw

Italian outfit, Rubber, heat, grunting, and you fill the open hole for more?? What's not to love??

Corn-based ethanol is great, isn't it? My truck drops about 1 MPG on the E10 stuff (which is soon to be universally required across the US), all in the name of helping out the ROI for the ethanol plant investors (who only exist in the first place due to government subsidies), and making sure 3rd world counties can no longer eat. Biggest racket the US gubbament has ever had their hands in. What a mess.

Now if we ever get to the point of cellulosic-based ethanol becoming a production reality, then I'll stop bashing.

I wish it was still MTBE as it was a better oxygenate, but you know this gives you more power right?
