Smile bennetts of barnsley

i went to have a look around the latest soon to be mv dealership in south yorkshire and spoke to russ the boss!!! i stayed for about an hour and we discussed many things mv related, i was made to feel very welcome and was given a mug of coffee straight away!!! russ seems to be very enthusiastic regarding mvs and already has a benelli dealership. he told me he is going to the mv factory to take a course has he is wanting to do the mechanicing himself and his financing it out of his own pocket.he is due to take delivery of a 1078 f4 and new brutale very soon . he was after feedback from people on this forum and so i would urge you to get in touch either by phone or through here and wants to know any problems etc that weve come across .its great to see someone new and genuinely excited about mvs, and hes promised to be very reasonable about servicing costs and parts. i told him that we were concerned here in england about whats happening at the factory about the bad rumours etc. he told me that its actually a company called kjm superbikes that have taken over the importership of mv from 3x m/cs and theve set up a company called moto gb i think(im terrible with names) . hes going to have aword with them and try to see if he can get them to give a statement on here regarding the mv situation. lets hope its soon. i would just like to wish russ and bennetts of barnsley all the best in their new adventure . im looking forward to going again when the new bikes arrive!!! oh and for the coffee ........regards ian walker

You are correct it is KJM Superbikes, they have a few shops in the area.
Slingers(Preston) a Suzuki dealership,Millenium(ST Helens) muti- francise if I remember correctly,Orrel superbikes(Wigan) Aprilla and KJM (Wrightington) Benelli and parallels.
Millenium is the new M.V. dealer.I've been told they have been contacting M.V. owners and inviting them to use their service facilities. This isn't going down to well with the exsisting dealers.

Road & Racing are still M.V. Dealers, thats where I, buy my bikes and get them serviced.I wouldn't go any wherelse.I can't fault them for their service.I think its important to build a good relationship with your Dealer, because lets face it, your life is in their hands.
Even if they where not M.V. Dealers I would still use them as their knowledge and experiance are second to none.
