Question Unheard Of...???

I'm confused guys. I bought an MV F4S in 2001, I've ridden it nearly 20,000 km, I've NEVER serviced it, none of the bolts have ever been turned on my bike (I know, but i'm a bird, what do you expect??) - anyway the confusing part is that I have never, ever broken down, or had a problem of any sort, it just keeps going... have MV sold out to the Japs I wonder...?? lol.

erm.....nope.....I usually just put the key in and go.....I figure if it needed anything it would've broken down, erm, I know, I shouldn't be allowed to own an MV...

Why you think this is clever is quite beyond me.

You shouldn't be allowed to own a C90, never mind an MV.

The only 'clever' bit is that I actually ride my bike and do track days on it, rather than buy something pretty to tell my mates about in the pub but only take out twice a year. It's just a bike mate. If you haven't got anything nice to say then please don't reply, life's too short.

Hi Skycat and welcome to this MV forum. WOW, you lucky person! I was expecting a story about a seized engine. In my experience, it only goes wrong when you take it in for a service! However, you should do your routine checks and service, your life could depend on it! Anyhow, take care and safe riding!

Welcome, how about a pic of yourself and your bike.

Personality is what you show of yourself daily.

Character is what comes out under adversity. (Think about that)

I just don't believe this. You've never serviced it in 20,000 km? What about your chain? Ever adjusted that? If not it should be shagged by now. Are you topping up the oil as it burns away? What about your brake pads, are the pistons eating the discs yet?

I seriously can't imagine anyone having bought an MV back in 2001 when a 750 would have cost top money and then neglecting to look after it to that extent, especially if they're the kind of rider who takes it on the track.

My guess is you're either brimming with shit, or your dealer takes pity on you and changes the oil behind your back when they change the tyres. (I assumed you've at least had to change them?)
