Cutting out...

Anybody have thier MV cut out on them when coming to a stop? I know the RC51 suffers from this, and is easily fixed with a DIY mod, but this has never happenned to me until today...TWICE.

1st time I was coming to a stop sign, I pull in the clutch, let off the gas, and she quits. She starts right back up without hesitation, and temperature was only at 207. But it was hot as hell outside, like 91 degrees.

2nd time, I was pulling into my driveway, and it did the same damn thing.

She starts back up no problem, but that causes a little concern to me.I came up to several stop lights inbetween the two and it didn't happen. It's never happenned until today either. It's running like a champ, and purring just fine...only, she quit on me twice

Anybody else? Know the problem and/or a solution?

oicdn...yes...this happened several times on my 750. Sometimes at a light and once as I was exiting a highway. As you said, it started right back up. It was disconcerting - but I was trading in the 750 on the 910r so I didn't bother to have it checked out. I have almost 200 miles on the 910r and no signs of trouble.

Yeah...it was really wierd. No hesitation before hand, not stuttering, nothing....it just cut out like I had hit the kill switch when I pulled in the clutch.

Kinda freaky. Too bad the closest MV dealer is 400 miles away..otherwise, I woulda dropped her off today....

*edit...yeah I was looking for that thread, and couldn't find it.....

Objects are bigger than they appear in the rear view mirror...closing fast...make that about 250 miles...took the long way home from work I think my arms are stretched a few inches after a few bursts today

My thoughts exactly!
I'll let you know in a few day as it will be on the dyno toot sweet to see how it's fueling. Rich mixture can cause a flame out and a stall.

It happens to me once in a while, but not often enough to make me worry about it. May be running a little rich.

Happened to me a couple times the first few times I rode it. Hasn't happened since although I did explain problem to my service tech. @ 600 mile service.
