Zinc passivation of original fitmen fasteners

All,

I hope this proves useful to some forum members

My MV F4 2000 model is fitted with a number of fasteners which 'out of the factory' have a finish which is a bright yellow/gold and is called Zinc Passivation.

Over time, certainly on my bike this finish begins to dull and the fasteners loose their lusture.

I have just had circa 150 fasteners (of different sizes and styles including Dzus) re-zinc passivated by a Company in UK called Brinksway Electroplating. The service was excellent from start to finish and including shipping was 70.

If anyone should want to give their bike a spruce up, they can be contacted on:-

I can thorougly recommend them and the fasteners came back like new.

Cheers

In Australia I have had this done on my old 750 including the Dzus fasteners. Lots of places can do it but I used Electro Plating Technology in Queanbeyan, NSW who are one of the leaders in Australia for refurbishing chrome plating on old Holden and Ford trims.

It is very cheap.
