F3 800 Battery charging

Is there a plug you can buy to connect the battery charger to the bike loom for charging the battery or do you have to connect the charger directly to the battery?

The battery isn't in the easiest of places. I noticed that there is a plug under the pillion seat which leads to the battery so I was wondering if anyone sells an adapting lead?

TIA

Easy fix, Kwacky.

Go here: https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/mot...nt_prod/276182

and select the type you need. Most of us (UK) use Oxford Oximiser or similar chargers which are supplied with the leads. We then connect to the battery as a permanent connection, and leave the plug in a 'tuck away' position for use as required.

You can see in this pic the charger beneath the bike to my connection:

Doesn't MV still supply the charger (that goes to the lead you found under the seat) with the bikes???

Or did the person (dealer?) you bought it from fail to give it to you?

A charger and lead should have been supplied with the bike.

@kwacky: The F3 is very different from the F4 pictured above, but the principal is the same.

It didn't come with the bike. The owner lost a few things including the rear pegs. The price reflected that so its' no big loss.

There are several companies that provide Smart Chargers. You simply need to ensure you have the correct cable adapter for the MV connection.

He needed prompting for a few things. I get the impression he's not very organised.
