F4 head gasket

Hello everyone,

Bike : MV Agusta F4 750 2001

I am having a new cam chain, cam chain guides and new tensioner fitted due to the mileage the bike had done. Work being carried out by an MV Agusta dealer.
This is a complete engine strip down, crank out etc............

Two months later and still no bike, but the problem now is the dealer is struggling to get a new head gasket, as they have told me that MV don't supply them anymore.
They have finally found one through another supplier, but, it is 0.1mm (0.004") thicker than the standard one.

Does anyone know if this will, or, could cause any issues later on.....compression ratio etc.
Should i be concerned??

Many thanks guys for your knowledge and advice.

You will have slightly lower compression...otherwise not a problem. Whether you will be able to notice any loss of power is debatable.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.
