Electrical Issues 02 F4

o yes, I reversed the poles on my battery.
Repairs thus far,
1) 2nd fuse on the fuse box towards the tail - replaced
2) 40amp next to the spu housing thing(i think), replaced
3) 5 pin relay, replaced (the diode is fried, Where can i get another?). I cut the diode wire
4) 4 pin fan relay, replaced

As I type, The bike DOES, start and run. BUT with NO KEY and IN THE OFF POSITION, STARTS AND RUNS
BUT I Turn the KEY to RUN and THE BIKE IS OFF TOTALLY. ........................................
help, and I am missing the obvious???????????

The diode is available at any electronics store...even Radio Shack (are they still around?) should have one. It is a common diode.

Can't recall the diode number, but it is posted in many threads on this subject,,,,advanced search should help.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

@Muffner....and all other forum members...please put your bike year and model in the signature section of your profile. It will help us help you.

That being said, do you have the 750 Senna, or the 750 EV 02? Precision matters when dealing with electrical issues.

For the early bikes, there is another set of diodes know as SAFETY CPU...check them according to the manual.

Thanks for the tips. The bike is a '02 F4 ev 2, not senna.
I have been through the manual twice. I must have missed the second possible diode situation.
Searching for diodes in the advanced now
