Domino throttle

G'day,

I posted this in 'Tech and Hands On' but this doesn't show up on 'Recent Discussions' and as a consequence doesn't get the views so I'll try here. Any reason why certain forum sections don't appear in 'Recent Discussions'?

I've been using Domino racing grips on the standard throttle and they're due for replacement. They don't fit the standard tube (throttle side) properly but work ok once you squeeze them on. So I thought I'd fit the Domino set up. Donsy, I found an old thread where you said you'd bought one. My question is basically how do you rate it? Given mine goes from 0-stupid at about 3 degrees rotation is the Domino set up any smoother or more savage? Anybody else tried them? Another thing I find annoying is the lack of slack available (on mine?) in the standard cables when removing the throttle tube. With all adjusters fully slackened (including the bracket on the motor) they're a bugger to get off and on. I usually remove this when I work on it but it's a pain taking the tank off just for this. Maybe my cables were on the tight side when manufactured. Even a couple of mm longer would help, then just using the cable adjusters near the grip would be enough. Do the Domino cables have a bit more adjustment?

Cheers

Hi Deano.
I've been using the Domino set-up for years, there's the option of making up your own cable lengths, as well as three different cams to choose form for feel and reaction.

The one with the progressive angle, it opens the throttle quicker the more you turn it.
