Sooty tailpipes brutale 800

Cleaning the bike and I was surprised how much black soot was around the tailpipes. In the good old days that would mean I was running rich.

:-), or not riding hard enough. Seriously though, I wonder about myself too (at mid life crisis age) I only get 220km and the fuel light goes on on my Brutale 750S (ouch), will have to start carry jerry cans on the side :-)

Who moved my cheese?

I had mine dyno'd last year https://youtu.be/VZhsjXEPmFI?list=PL...6RFs459gBL23Xm

It ran rich everywhere basically except the middle bit where they do emissions and I can black sooty pipes too despite riding it alot of the time over 8k rpm

I get 100 miles from a full tank on average every time

What octane fuel are you guys running? If you are running higher than 95ron that could be your problem.

We're all here, but we're not all there.

If you`re getting 220k`s before the fuel light you are getting excellent range for a 750S. Light comes on with 15 litres used and 4litres left, give or take.
