2014 F3 800 best oil and filter choice.

Hey guys, so while my bike is at the dealer, i was guessing i should just change the oil and get it serviced, while it gets repaired. My friends have jap bikes and are telling me to put royal purple in it. I was like hmm let ask the fellas at the forum instead. What do you guys think is the best oil and filter for a 2014 F3 800 with only about 2800 miles on it. Also I'm in the US if that means anything lol.

If it s at the dealer they'll probably use eni/ agip. There's a few threads about this just do a quick search. There are some good alternative ones that are the same viscosity as recommended in your manual, which varies by region.

Royal Purple is not a good choice.
AMSOil
Mobile One
ENI

Whatever you choose, use a quality full synthetic.

My dealer uses Belray and Motorex.

What a beast of a motorcycle!
It growls and rages and flies across the tarmac like a wild animal that has escaped the confinement of a cage and after merely waiting restlessly until the release, will not endure being locked up ever again.

Skye I miss you. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.

Personally, I would not use Royal Purple in anything...not even my lawn mower.

I use Maxima Extra4 5w-40 which I believe is readily available in the US, and OEM filter.

I use ENI - found a nice deal on Amazon. Enough for about 4 oil changes.
