Got a scan of a 1954-56 175 MV owners manual??

I'm trying to track down more documentation showing actual compression ratios for the various 175 MV motors. I have some info that conflicts.

While digging thru my library I find no MV 175 Sport handbook prior to 1957. I do have the 1954 CSS Super Sport handbook, but not for the CS Sport which had telescopic forks.

Has anyone out there got a scan or PDF to share?

Thanks!

Hi Ivan
Here an early 1954 CS Sport MV Agusta original document.
Note the shape of the muffler and the small head ...
The earles fork is an option for the Cs Sport
I dont know if this early model was really sold ?

Thank you for sharing this handout. You point out where it notes the Earles fork as an option! Wow! "The front fork is supplied, on request, of the patented type telescopic Earles." I am very pleased to get this.

This handout certainly seems to helps the case for an MV Sport with Earles forks. However, let's not jump to conclusions. It also specifies 18" wheels, a speedometer, and 14 HP as standard. Those did not happen on the production Sport.

If a model was ever sold that looked like this, I've seen no examples other than one photo of the pre-production Sport that was displayed at the Nov '53 Milan Show, and a similar one that later found it's way to the cover of the June 1955 Motociclismo magazine.

The image in this ad looks like a retouched photo of the Milan Show bike. Note the peashooter muffler, seat with trim strip, lack of side toolboxes, the center tool box, the valve cover different from the Turismo version. The front guard lacks 2 of the 4 braces used on all Sports, and seems to have no upper support attaching it to the fork tree (it would fall right off).

My $0.02 worth - this advertisement or handout is early, probably from late 1953, printed before the MV marketing group had a photograph of a finished production Sport or Super Sport.

Thank you again for sharing this!

Just found this link, it is a treasure trove of information.

Check out the ad showing the 1954 models, and compare the prices to the similar 1956 ad. Sport price dropped, but Super Sport price went way up.

Interesting stuff. Enjoy!
