1948 Ducati Cucciolo 48cc

The most important part of this literally translated "Puppy" is perhaps the wine bottle holder.

Rare... these were the first engines built by the Ducati brothers following the war, they strapped it to a motorcycle frame and the "Motorcycle Era" began. 1st and 2nd gear, 48cc, a beautiful specimen that is in "Original"condition, not restored... undisturbed. Yes, it starts on first attempt, all lights work, hard to believe, but true.

Nice, Ducati used wine to cool the bike engine those days!

Beautiful! An unrestored, original Cucciolo in working condition is rare, and worth a small fortune. Thanks for the pic!
