Centomila 125 cc

Hallo everybody,,,
I hope to get information what sprockets you use / or recomend
I have a 1961 Tra 125 cc , on my bike it is 15 teeth in front
And 51 teeth in back ,, i use a 22 ub carb with funnel ,
As i feel the bikes topspeed is like 75-85 km/h and it felt extremly
Sensetive , a little uphill i looses speed, i must ask but is this
Correct? Does someone of you use another gearing ? How work 13 or 14 in front and 49 in back? Also a question if the 150/175 head
Fits on a 125 bike ? If it , i have idea to port and put in a little bigger
Valves , maby some of you done that ?
It is fun driving,,, but it was nice if it can be driving in 100 km/h
Since tuesday last week i have drive 60 mile,,,
Best wishes from sweden
Regards Åke

Hello Ake,

I suggest you keep your bike as it is, standard.

Mind you, I know how you feel. I got one like you. Top speed of 85kph is about correct, yes. Maybe 75kph too, but in that case you need to go on a diet

Regarding the speed uphill: if you already have a decent speed at the bottom of the hill I think the Centomila behaves fine (for a 125) as long as the hill isn't too steep and/or too long.
In the latter 2 cases you're going to slow down gradually. It's normal.
Bear in mind that you're riding a 125 with about 7bhp. So, yeah, I know, steep or long hills are a bit of a pain.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's a different way of riding. Try to keep your speed up and just enjoy the bike as it is

we desperately need a "classic" smiley...

Hallo Johan , thanks for the answer, sounds good to hear
Nothing is a big error, and i never destroy the orginal bike,
If i tune it,, i port another head , not the orginal , so i could build it
Back .. But the easiest way is going on diet as you say,,, smile
Im not a little tiny italian,,, as it was build for,,
Has it be any high compression pistons for this 125 model availible?
All the best kind regards åke
