MV 125trl Engine Oil

Hi Guys

Could anyone please tell me which grade engine oil to use in my MV125trl 1957?

I though about putting 10/40 grade oil is this OK?

Also the amount.

Hi Keith.

You will get as many answers to this question as there stars in the sky!

Just remember that the oil available in the bikes day was a lot more basic than the stuff available now.

Therefore any 'straight' 40 or non synthetic 20/50 will do. The tolerences are quite high in these motors so don't go for modern high range synthetics ;ie 5-50 etc.

Most companies market a 'calssic' oil and this will do fine.

Hope this helps.
