350s Ipotsei 1976-

Hi Guys, I need some information regarding a flywheel and stator/ignition assembly. I have the opportunity to purchase and restore a late 70's MV 350 Sport. The engine turns over freely but the fly wheel assembly was robbed for use on another bike and was never returned. I need to know what Make and Makers part number these parts are so that I can get one. The retaining nut, bush, inductor plate and loom are also missing (If anyone has a spare one and would like to sell it please contact me).
I will also require a rear fender/number plate hanger

I went thru this many years ago with one of my Ipotesi's - I had mine built from scratch - we took off the one from my existing 350 & an amazing gentleman (Ivan Brown) whom I have unfortunately lost touch with built a replica from nothing - incredible job. I can't recall the original makers off the top of my head but can find out for you.

I am not sure if the UK MV Owners Club -who have probably the most parts for classic MVs in one place than anywhere else in the world have one - they certainly didn't when I needed some 14 years ago.

If Dorian (UK MV Owners Club) spares guru comes on here he may be able to advise - you will need to join the club to be able to buy spares etc.

Rae.

The Dansi system fitted as standard is no longer available. Parts are almost impossible to find, especialy the pick up plate and rotor. It was never a very good system anyway, hence the lack of used parts around.

We no longer provide parts for this system from the UK club spares scheme.

The best thing to do is fit a Powerdynamo system. It is a complete system and is very popular www.powerdynamo.biz . Make sure you get the correct system as the early and late 350 twins use different units.

Hope this helps.
