Exclamation Final Piece of the Jigsaw

Finally, I think my collection is complete with my latest acquisition, collected from Port Botany yesterday after concluding the deal in Italy in September.

My collection was always based on the following parameters:

1. An example from each decade of production.

2. 2 and 4 stroke examples.

3. 1, 2, 3 & 4 cylinder examples.

4. Old 4 plus new 4.

5. A walk thru the company's aim (& hopes) i.e. Start of Production, Commuter, Sports, Workhorses & Off Road

With the acquisition of a 1968 Series II RegolaritÓ 125 - I think we have it now (took 15 MVs to achieve the aim)- now we await 2020 for the next instalment. 2 years without buying a bike? It will be tough, my wife doubts me, but we'll see. On that note if anyone has a Liberty Super sport (genuine) hit me up.

The bike itself, starts first kick, sounds unlike any other 125 I own or know - it was bred for a purpose it's obvious from the first note.

As always for your viewing pleasure - pics (enjoy):

Picked up by the trusty Lincoln - has never failed me in delivering an MV.

Despite all of the above, the question that probably springs to mind first and foremost is " Why is he sleeping in his garage?"

Thank you Dino.

That's possibly the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me

Your friend the Motocarro awaits you as record holder for the longest distance travelled in it! Poor ol' Russ just WENT around the block and it almost killed being hunched over not mention it ripped his MV T- shirt

Look forward to seeing you again.

Thanks Ed, you know you'd be most welcome. Ralf (haupti) is in Australia at present for the WSBK, he'll be swinging by for a couple of days.

Thanks Chucky ☺

This one was a hard one ( not that the others were easy especially the 98)....been waiting a long while. With only (depending on the source) 17 or 20 examples made specifically for trials racing they are obviously rare but I think an important addition given that it shows MV turned their attention to what the masses were wanting. They ruled the tracks undisputedly in the 60s but trials racing was becoming huge in Europe so it turned their heads.

The Lincoln I think about selling every so often it usually parks where you can see the bed in the pics - then I drive it and think '[email protected]#k man this is the epitome of cool' and those thoughts go away !!!!!!

Thanks Robbie! Man you need to come over - the floors on level 3 (bedrooms) are finished and furniture moves back tomorrow. That's the guest bed in the pic but if you come over we'll move back in the garage for you
