How many I wonder?

Sorry if this has been asked before. ( I've searched the forum but I'm new and couldn't find an answer). Does anyone know roughly how many of the classic light weights are in the UK? I'd love to know as I see so few. Admittedly I'm dreaming of summer already.

M, might help if you could be more specific as that is a very broad question!

Yes, sorry I suppose it is. I was thinking of 125's, 150's and 175's of the 1950's and 60's mostly.

I'd suspect the total of those ranges probably run into hundreds, if not 4 figures. You probably see so few as most are tucked away and only come out for special events. Mine was used as a daily commute in the autumn as I wanted to run it in and put some miles on it. Gained quite a lot of attention in the rush hour in Coventry. Now the salt is here, mine is tucked away too.

Now, my mates Mondial 175SS, that probably is rare. Maybe the only one in the UK.

You're probably right. And well done for commuting on one. Be nice to get a few together in summer. Ride outs perhaps rather than shows.
