Problems with front fork pinch bolts.

Part of the work involved in putting my 150 back together is in replacing damaged or missing nuts and bolts (of which there are quite a lot). But it’s the front fork pinch bolts that are giving me the most problems. These have badly rounded off hexagons, due to using the wrong sized spanner probably , the nuts were 14mm AF and the heads 16mm AF, not the most common size. The issue is that they turned out to be 9 x1.25, a size that I have been completely unable to find. The question is can I just enlarge the holes to accept 10mm bolts as I don’t want to cause any damage to the fork legs should there not be enough clearance. Thanks

Thanks, but they don't have them (at least not in the UK). Someone suggested using 3/8" UNF they being only 0.525mm larger than 9mm so not much enlarging to do.

Try this website: www.westernhemispheres.com

It is a part for a 2CV Citroen as I found out here:

My M9 Bolt Problem | The Honda CB650 Motorcycle

"Searching for M9x1.25, I found a set screw for a front shock absorber mount plate for use on… a Deux Chevaux (2CV) Citroën car.

Deux Chevaux Citröen where my M9 bolt would go

After trying to inquire about shipping from two European sources (UK and France) and being ignored, I found one in California (www.westernhemispheres.com). I was just buying one bolt but they answered my questions anyway. It’s a little expensive for one bolt ($4.43 + shipping), but it’s worth not going through the alternate solutions."

If they wont ship to you, PM me and they can ship to me and then I'll send it on to you.

Good luck.
