frame/serial No.

Hi all.

just wanted to check, searching through the web about the Engine/Frame numbers on the CSGT 175. 1957

And i what i found that the numbers are starting from 41xxxx
As in Attactment. Frame 419865 engine 415571

Is this true, any help will be great.

I've done some study about the registrationnumbers of the little MV's. The result of all this confirms that the numbers you mentioned perfectly fit in the following series. I regret that some data are missing, but although.... Greet'z Gianni

Your numbers are consistent with 1957 CSGT 175.
The GT is pretty rare, they only made a few hundred of them.


1954 MV 175 CSS Super Sport
1957 MV 175 CS Modello Sport
1967 Motobi 125 Sport

The CSTG used the engine from the CS with the top end (head, piston, carb) from the CSTL. Do you think, if the engine is not marked with an 'S', it is automaticly from a CS type?

Still looking up the info on that.
I have checked out the Mv bike museum & scanned records of the model. Seams to match up.
