engine numbers ?

hallo everybody..
i have looking at an engine with enginenumber 628507s
what engine is this? is it a 125 centomila?

also a 175 cc engine that starts with 400556 s is this a discoengine or a
modellosport?

Hi Ake

To the 175, the engine of Disco Volante and Sport are just the same. The first one has this special gas tank and was buildt 55 to 56 and the later one was fittet with another tank and different front fork.
Check the cylinder Head and the four long screws which fix the cylinder barrel and the head. The diamiter has to be 10 mm.

Hi Ake,

Just had a look to nuber of the engine I have in the barn.

Sport: 472 631s and 473 031s
The Tourismo start with 408..... And 413......

is it possible you can have a big cylinderhead for sale to 175 cc ?

but those numbers i wrote , what are those engines ?

does it exist 125 cc engines with S after?
it looks like my 125 tra engine,,

and the 175 engine i ask about is with the little oval cover on the clutch side,,, one with 2 boltholes and one with 3

Very interesting article Adrian. The frame number of my Tourismo is 416 843 and the Sport has the number 417 280.

Do the 750 Models really have matching numbers?

I have only one head CS but two engines. But I have some heads for the CSTL.

i understand Alexander.. we hunt the same parts then,,,Smile,
i want to find a modello sport or disco or squalo head,, i will weld on a cst head to get a larger intake
and use that until i find a sport head. i had an idea of milling out heads to but will see what it all
taken away...

have you any knowledge of what conrod that is possible to use on these 175 engines.? a modern one.

No I haven't. I will use the original one, which I'd heard is diffrent to the CST one.
