Ram Mount for GPS for Brutale

Olive posted this pic of a Ram Mount for putting a GPS on a Brutale.

in this thread
http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showth...ight=Ram+Mount

I want to use this method to mount my Garmin Zumo 550. (Currently in use on my BMW bike and Touareg SUV)

I haven't yet been able to reach him by PM so thought I'd ask the board in case someone else has relevant info or is interested in doing the same thing.

It looks like he's using this RAM-B-236-U
(RAM ball with 3/8"-16 threaded post)

http://www.ram-mount.com/zumo/garminzumo.htm

(click alternative mounting and look at top item)

Does anyone know if this is what I need?

Thanks in advance

I use a clamp type ball mount but the one above looks good. I have 2 one a u bolt clamp. The other is an actual g clamp that is easy to move between bikes.

isn't that mount above PLASTIC?
it is NOT one of my favorite types of mounts at all

that 276C..... like my 376C.....
which i'd LOVE to mount on my brutale... i still have no gps on my MV
is very heavy and i'm not sure i'd trust THAT kind of mount to it

i, of course, might be wrong/i'd have to see it in person to know for sure

as you know.......... i was the one who started that original thread and STILL want gps on my 910R

Yea it's plastic but it is very strong i use the same setup on my klr.No problem's with it shaking loose even on trails and buzzing down dirt roads.I'm very happy with it and it's great to drive by the gps.

My question remains- does anyone know the thread size of the screws that mount the handlebar? If they are 3/8"-16 then I can use the part listed at the top of the thread to do the GPS.

If someone here gives me an answer I promise a how-to with pics.
