Hydroform exhaust on a (B5) 1090RR '12

Hi all,

anyone using a Hydroform exhaust system on a (B5) 1090RR Brutale?
I would be very interested in some detailed pics of the mounting parts of the silencer.

Thanks in advance.

Juergen

Ok, I'll bite on this one. What the heck is a B5?

Hi Matt,

Thanks for asking this.

"B5" is mentioned in my certificate of conformity as the type (tipo) of the bike.
Other spec mentioned in that document...

Variante: 22
Versione: AA

It's a B4 mate, the B5 - F5 topic come's up every now and then, just call it a B4 1090 or Brutale 1090/1909R or 1090RR etc.

Thanks Donsy.

Reason for my irritation was that I just experienced that not every B4 part was fitting while modifying some things, so I took a look at the c.o.c. and saw this B5 there. So my Bike is a 1090RR.

Would be interested in detailed pictures of a mounted Hydroform exhaust system on a 1090RR then.

I'm about to mount this one:

Glad you're getting sorted Juergen, take some pictures and show us how it all worked. Remember to keep everything loose till all holes are lined up.

Will post pictures soon. Thanks.

Do you have any recommendation regarding which airfilter to be used in combination with this exhaust?

Changing the exhaust might mean a re-map or PCV would be needed. If you go to a free breathing filter too, that scenario could be a certantity.
