Gas Tank Cap/Hole Differences?

Hello,

I got a great deal on an Accossato carbon fiber/billet aluminum gas cap kit just like the ones on my Ducatis.

It won't fit. It seems my 2008 910s cap system is not the same as a 2010 or newer model. Just noticed the one I purchased states it's for a 2010 Brutale. The hole on my bike is offset more to the front of the tank rather than dead center. I find it hard to believe MV changed the design of the tank opening/cap system but I could be wrong. Can you guys verify this before I send it back to the vendor for replacement? Thanks

Ahead of Brutale’s 10-year anniversary, MV Agusta introduces the new 990R and 1090RR models, which are claimed to be 85 percent new. Although the bikes don’t look different at all compared to the previous generation, they actually feature the same redesigned headlight, instrument cluster and instrumentation, handlebar, rear view mirrors, key block as well as bodywork and technical fittings.
