Rear cylinder covers.Help

Even the workshop manual didn't help me with the mounting of my new carbon rear cylinder covers. It seems i can't get out the old ones and i can't figure out the best way, or the only way,to get to them.Any clue? Thanks

Check your owners manual, I think I saw a description there - looking straight on at the cover, put your hand behind the edge of the cover that is closest to the rear tire, then slowly pull that edge on the cover towards you (stright away from the bike). It should pull out about a 1/2" or so. Once that edge pulls out from the rubber groument, then slide the cover towards the rear tire about an inch and the cover should come off completely.

The cover is attached with 2 rubber connectors - the cover pulls out of the one closest to the rear tire and the cover slides out of the one closest to the fornt wheel.

I hope this info helps - please check the owners manual, there should be a pucture of this removal proceedure.
Regards,
Duane
