Cold weather riding

Hey all,
I was wondering if any of you have kept riding under 0 degrees C and if you've noticed any odd actions from your bike.

Commuting to work today at, -1 C , the Brute would not set at a stable speed, kind of surged at a set throttle, but would go like a bat out of hell when opened up (not that that's not typical, just more so).

I'm guessing it's an issue with the bike not being able to cope with the additional O2 present in the colder air. When the weather warms up later in the day this issue is not present.

Speed is relative, but fast is fast.

Yeah...the ECM is compensating for cold air temp with more fuel....the map may not be refined for ambient air temps that cold. The o2 sensor will only help the ECM adjust at idle and very small throttle openings....

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Makes sense, thanks. Not sure what I'm doing riding around in sub-zero temps anyways, I guess I just don't want to put it away

Maybe a heating element in the airbox

I politely disagree.

Skidoo makes perfectly nice bikes for the snow.
