mirror review-CRG knock offs

I just got the mirrors that were in the thread a week or so ago. They are sold on ebay and elsewhere for about $50 a PAIR. I just pulled them out of the box so I haven't mounted them or ridden with them (obviously). But here's the first impression:

They are virtually identical to CRG's in design, with the exception that there is no joint in the arm that holds the mirror. They are NOT CNC billet but are cast. They are NOT anodized but painted. Having said that, I'm very pleased with what I see. I'm VERY particular about this stuff and would love to have the CRG's or one of their competitor's super fancy ones as the finish and detail isn't on par with those guys. But from 2 feet away, very few people would ever know the difference. And given the vulnerability of mirrors and the fact that you can purchase 3 pairs of these for less than 1 set of CRG's, its pretty much a no brainer for me. If you actually ride your bike, which I know ya'll do, I'm pretty sure you'll agree.

Hope that helps. Ciao,

Bob

hey man I am with you there. Re they the knock back ones? round or oval? the CRG's are so damned high along with everything else. I was going to buy another set of mirrors but I always whack them on my door frame when I am rolling into the house. thought about the CRG's after ny wreck but couldn't justify the cost. pic's?

Thanks for the info, they sound like what I need. I don't mind paying 50 bucks to experiment with mirrors, but I would be pissed if I layed down the big bucks and hated them.
What Ebayer did you end up buying them from?
Also, would it be too much to ask for some close up pics when you get them mounted?

You gotta be crazy, gotta have a real need....
