Speedo gone haywire

G'day,

On a run with the boys today and about 100k's in the speedo started displaying any digits it chose every half second. Trip meters, odometer and time not affected.

Would I be right to assume the speed sensor inside the front sprocket cover is stuffed or is it something in the dash?

Cheers

Hopefully just a dodgy connector or bad earth. Way cheaper.

Revhead,

Found it. My fault as I didn't pay enough attention to the wire route from the sensor after I replaced the selector spring. Chain wore through one of the wires so there was the bad connection. A bit of soldering and more attention this time and all's good.

Cheers
