Spu differences

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two SPUs available now? Could the 8A00A9300 be used in place of the 8A00A9615 with any pin changes? I need the 9615, and have a good deal on a 9300 available to me. Is it going to be a big can of worms?

No, I know which SPU that I need. I am just wondering if there is a workaround to use the other one since I can get one of those for a good price.

I don't think so mate, they are different because the bikes using them are different in mechanical build.

Thanks. I figured it was probably impossible or a lot more trouble than what I want to do for a couple of hundred dollars. It's a good deal for someone who can use it though.

So it would not be possible to use a blue on in place of a black one to check and see if the SPU is actually the bad part ?

Yes, you do use the black in place of the blue. The black is a more robust version. The part number needs to be matched to the frame/vin number of your bike to get the correct model blakc backed spu...that's what the sticky is about.
