Best way to lower a Brutale ?

I have just been to have a sit on the newer 920 bike, it is taller than the 910 i sat on yesterday but given the total redesign and the reliability issues with the older bikes i know i need to get a 2010 bike and beyond.

But just what is the best way to get the bike down to the seat height of the 910 ?

Use the lowering link adjuster on the rear shock and drop the front forks through the triples an equal amount.

Really?

i bought my '08 910R used in 14,000+mi it has burned out a low beam bulb

NOTHING has broken or gone MIA

the valve cover weeps 2-3 drops of oil per month

i added a MicroTec ECU, a Mitch hub, Arrow Thunder pipe without the DB Killers LED indicators bar end mirrors, metal fuel line fittings and a steering damper

the chain has been adjusted twice

and it doesn't know what a battery tender is

too bad my '02 BMW R1150GS is such a maintenance whore, at 58,000mi it still burns ~1 quart in 2,000mi
its worse than a Hollywood starlet with a straw on a mirror
