Radiator stone guard check

Just had a new radiator put in my 1078rr under warranty ,the stone guard was sitting against the rad from new and had worn a hole in the rad. This may apply to F4`S aswell, not sure. The dealer replaced the rad and installed the guard as it was originally ,as in still rubbing. Easily fixed by packing the lower brackets out with some bits of cut fuel line. Worth checking on your bike just to be sure.
Whilst I was at it I also found that the guard on the oil cooler can be dislodged ( by a previous bird impact) from it`s seal. I pushed it back in place with a bead of black Sikaflex which is seems more secure than the original "rubbery" bedding material.

Cus.

P.S. No birds were hurt in the making of this thread.
