920 Fuel consumption

I would just like to determine if this is within the norms for this bike
My daily commute, one way, involves 40km of highway and 7km of suburban roads, my average travelling speed on the highway is 145kph and suburban speed probably 70-80kph (speedo - which over reads by 10kph)

I did 328km and filled 19.8ltr of which 51km was with the reserve light on.

This equates to = 16.56km/ltr or 6ltr/100km

All i know is that the mileometer over reads . First ride out i did with a mate we both filled up at the same garage and zero'd our trip meters . The 920 said i had done 172 miles and i think my mate's said 160 miles Bike magazine in the UK do a 80 mile fuel loop on all the bikes they test and most are within 1 or 2 miles of each other but the 920 said it had done 86 miles!!! . It averaged 38.3 mpg, whatever that is in litres . They reckoned between 195-210 miles to a tank full .

Smile Ouch

That looks okay-ish for a MV, if you were a bit on the play side of things.
And I complain about 4.5km/liter .
Sorry, I just though I'd keep your thread alive, I have no clue what you get on the road with these bikes

That sounds pretty good to me. Seems the new Brutes are more frugal than the old models.

My 910R, after the microtec was finetuned by Chris the Man recently, returned 6.92l per 100km, or 275km to the 19l tank.

I think I'll take the Zumo 550 off one of my other bikes and strap it to the Brute for a while to check accuracy of both speedometer and odometer

Fuel consumption

Sounds good to me. My 1078 does about 200k until the reserve light comes on. Makes not much difference whether it's flogged or babied. About 12km/ltr, 9ltr/100km.

Cheers

De Ja Vu

I just filled the Brute up again this morning
335km on 19.8ltr (what's it with the 19.8)
So its almost identical consumption to my previous fill
Might change after this weekend though, As I will be fitting the BMC airfilter and the MV Corse Race ECU
