Help! Tach Needle that shakes!

Does anyone know how to fix a tach needle that shakes. It is kind of irritating & i'd like to get it fixed somehow.

Just kidding...
Seriously, can you tell if it has lifted away from the post? I don't know about the Brutale, but I have seen needle posts that are thicker at the base, so if it lifts up it will move around on the post.

It's possible it has lifted from the post. I'm just wondering if it is possible to open the tach up & remount the needle...

That's a different story! The "glass" and the housing probably separate. You could pry it open, press the needle back on with a TINY bit of glue, then use a liquid gasket to seal it all back up so no moisture gets in.

Not easy, I know... but if you mess up you would have to buy a new cluster. If you don't want to try it, you'd have to buy a new cluster anyway.

It's not under warranty anymore as it is a 2007. It's not a huge deal, just an annoyance.
