Exhaust Question - 920

With the pending arrival of my 1st MV - the 920, I have been doing some exhaust shopping but I now need some advice as the website information is a bit vague
1. Can the 4 >1 Arrow can and mid-pipe (decat) be used onto the standard MV header pipes - or must a full system be bought.
2. Can the 4 > 1 MV Corse can and mid-pipe (decat) be used onto the standard MV header pipes - or must a full system be bought.

The headers and mid-pipe/catalytic convertor are welded together on Euro 3 spec bikes (i.e.: your new bike). You will need a full system if you want to be rid of the cat.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Argh - not what I wanted to hear
So it looks like its a full system then - header downpipes, decat junction pipe and slip-on can

Next question-

Opinions please -
The Arrow "dark" full system or the MV Corse full system

How well tuned is the ECU that is supplied with the MV Corse setup.
+5bhp or 10+ and does it eliminate the 4000rpm flatspot that I keep reading about.

My MV Corse kit ECU is tuned perfectly for my MV Corse exhaust (I also have BMC air cleaner). I have no idea on HP because I can't use all that it has anyway. I would recommend the MV Corse kit.

Now a question for you...."flat spot you keep reading about?"...I take it you have not experienced this concern??
Like so many other bits of mis-information on the web, if you haven't found it you should stop worrying about it as it likely does not exist.

I think the 920 is exactly the same as th 1090rr,you must order the headers and mid pipe if you wish to keep your standard cans ,tonybrutale has done this, now be warned if you like your bike nice and smooth, with no on off throttle leave it the way it is.once you start stuffing around with the pipes ,decat, full system etc you will stuff up the air fuel mixture.we have done 2 bikes now and the only way to get a smooth throttle response is first get a race ecu, next a pc5 next get it dyno tuned.otherwise it will backfire ,or give small backfiring, with a snatchy throttle.now we are still waiting for the pc5 for the 1090,I think this also will work on the 920 if they ever realease the bloody thing.not sure if chris has a microtec for this model.Be warned let us know how you go with your bike as we have done all the steps, that is, with and without a race ecu, just runs like crap.our setup is new headers and midpipe with standard cans, lambda sensor deactivated via race ecu.and that stupid wire setup near the cat deactivated.just my 2 cents worth
cheers eddy

I've done 1k miles so far on my 920, no 4k rpm flat spot on mine and lovely smooth FI . Test rode a 920 before buying mine and no flat spot on that one either . The gearbox was sweeter on that one than mine but it had done a couple of thousand miles so I guess mine is still loosening up .

on my 920 cut behind exhaust valve and a used a Yoshi slip on --no cat
be Warned do not disable exhaust valve as bottom end & midrange will dissapear
Yoshi has a 50mm core-big big gains 6k onwards but a little sleepy down low
best with a 40mm mute in the end of muffler same down low but good gain in mid&top end
