Things falling off!

Just got back from a ride downtown athens. amazing as always!

and then going back home my left air intake just fell in my garage! had a huge laugh and then it hit me. Its european! should have known better as this was the case with almost all bikes I owned (supeduke 1098rr etc etc). wtf:

What worries me is... I LOVE MY BRUT.
Even if things fall off I wouldnt change it for any tin can jap thang.

Welcome to the forum mate,yes these exotic Italian bikes like a bit of care and attenion otherwise bits of the bike fall off as you are riding them,Mitch.

Your left air intake is held on by three 4mm socket head cap screws. It should not have fallen off. I would remove the tank if I were you and see what else is going on under there.

Thats what i did. out of three bolts only one was in place. the intake was broken were there other two bolt on. Most prob from overtightening them as the plastc had turned white.

Im with 2 bolts now and no probs so far. Not the easiest thing to take of the tank and stick your hand in there to tighten. thank god for my mechanics ( three 10year olds leaving in the neighborhood!).

I've put nearly 1000 miles on my 2010 F4 since I got it a few weeks back I've been diligently shaking loose bolts and locktite-ing their replacements. The spookiest incident? Both of the bolts that hold the seat on came off.

Fortunately they fell down in the battery pan, so at least I didn't have to replace them.
