I think all of us remember the days, weeks and even months we had to wait, to finally have the chance to ride our Italian mistresses, whether an F4 or Brutale....

Ride safe and enjoy your bike ! They are simply incredible....

Finally, photos! http://imageshack.us/g/534/002bjp.jpg/

I spent my free time yesterday quizzing my almost 17 year old on what he has studied for the motorcycle exam. His birthday is tomorrow and he is going to get his motorcycle permit. We got him an old style Ninja 250 not long ago so he can start learning.

Funny thing about shipping. Well, sort of funny. That Keyboard motorcycle shipping company was taking too long so I canceled the pickup and got JC to ship it for a higher price. Guess what happened? JC subcontracted to Keyboard so they wound up shipping it after all. Oh well. I'm just glad that it's here.

The bike is incredible. It is exactly what I hoped it would be! Specifically, it is comfortable to ride and has amazing torque. It's hard to believe there are so many people in this world who go buy new Hayabusas and such when they could have an almost new bike like this for about the same amount. Oh well, it's their loss.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I rode my ZX-9R tonight. It now feels about like riding my son's 250 Ninja.

Haha! My last two bikes were Brock's built ZX-14's! One dynoed 189 RWHP. Thing would rip your arm's out!
This is my first naked bike ever. And it will out handle my 14 easily!
So far I love it (once I get the low end stumble figured out) but parts prices are going to kill me!

Totally different ride!

'09 Brutale 1078RR. Full Arrow exhaust, damper. Lots of carbon fiber bits! Sold
'12 ZX14R

Yeah, I thought about buying a ZX-14 (a long time ago) but I tried sitting on it and it's more uncomfortable than my ZX-9R. Maybe some people aren't dissuaded by this but I want to enjoy longer rides and the 9 kills my back and shoulders within 50 miles. And the Brutale has such an exotic feel to it - there's so much to love about the bike! I'm just so happy I bought this beauty.

I still intend to keep the 9 around in case I have to wait to buy parts or something. And the 9 is a good bike to drive to work because I don't want the Brutale sitting in the sun and getting a weathered look.

HAHA I can't think of things like this at all. My wife is a jealous woman and wouldn't stand for any kind of other love - even for an inanimate object. She's the kind person that encouraged me to get the bike so I just have to love her all the more for it.
