Back seat stuck

I'm sure this has come up before but my searches yielded no results. My back seat lock won't seem to work and I cant get the damn thing off. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks

When you say locked, do you mean the key will not turn in the lock, or the seat will not release?

Be careful not to force the key, otherwise you will bend it and it wont fit the ignition!

If the key does however turn a little but it just seems a little too stiff to release the seat and you dont want to force it, try pushing down on the pillion seat whilst turning the key. This is what I always do regardless having bent a key before!

Hope this may help you.

Sorry I wasnt more clear. The latch wouldn't release. I tried pressing down on it while turning the key like you suggested and it eventually gave up and released. Thanks

on my f4 if you don't press down at the back of the seat unit, the lock wont turn and it will not release at the catch.
Pressing down a touch is the method...
