SPU by saab?

After another Thread (wont turn off) I started I have decided my SPU is most likely shot. I took it off this evening and noticed the dreaded green fuzz (corrosion) cominf from under one of the plugs.
Upon Closer examination I find the Saab name on the unit. Does anyone know if Saab was comissioned to build the SPU or do they use it on one of their vehicles?

The original SPU's were designed by SAAB and as most of us know, the Brutale's from 2004-2007 can be prone to failure - however, I've wrote this many times on the forum - once the SPU has been replaced, there have been zero recorded second failures.

Cheers

I think saab is only the manufacturer of the connector where it stands on, nothing else. As the other is an AMP.

As hb88xx said the only Saab part in the SPU is one of the connector blocks. I have been down this rabbit hole myself a few years back. If the old SPU is playing up buy teh new replacement part, had my fitted a while now and no more problems

And the new SPU replacement part is found where?

So Noneyet, named so because he had no MV Agusta in the garage when he joined the forum. Brutale 910 R has been sold, so now maybe he's "had one".
