Kickstand

On my bike, it leans farther than I like when on the stand. Is this normal? 07, just seems to lean more than it should. Stand feels tight, has anyone modded one to eliminate this? or just forget about it. I have been wanting ask, but kept forgetting. It doesnt appear to be bent either.

Saw where somebody on here made a little shoe, then drilled up into the bottome of the side stand threaded it and bolted the little shoe on. I'm gonna proceed that way. Already found a block of Aluminum, just need to find the time to start shaping it.
